Food Manager
We’re looking for a high-energy, fun, and friendly Food Manager to join us. The successful candidate will be responsible for meal preparation, kitchen organization, cleaning, and food/supply maintenance to help keep our center running smoothly.
Our ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and enjoys creating nutritious meals and snacks for children in a safe and welcoming environment.
This is a part-time position, and we are thrilled to offer a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications, as well as the opportunity to work within a warm, supportive team 🙂
To be considered for this role, we require candidates to have the following:
✅ High School Diploma or equivalent
✅ Experience in food service, kitchen management, or related field (child care food experience is a plus!)
✅ Mature, reliable, and of good character
✅ Good physical and mental health, with the energy and emotional stability to meet the demands of the role
✅ Freedom from illegal use of drugs
✅ Freedom from the use/effects of drugs and alcohol in the workplace
✅ Must be at least 18 years of age

Duties and Responsibilities Include:
➡ Prepare and serve daily lunches and snacks for children
➡ Keep the kitchen, appliances, and utensils clean, safe, and sanitary
➡ Organize, restock, and maintain food and kitchen supplies
➡ Refill paper towel holders and soap pumps in classrooms, bathrooms, and common areas
➡ Clean and replenish refrigerators, cupboards, and storage areas
➡ Notify the Director when food or supplies are running low
➡ Perform end-of-day kitchen clean-up and closing procedures
➡ Ensure compliance with food safety standards

✅ Must be 18 years of age
✅ GED/ A.S or B.S Degree/ CDA credentials
✅ 5+ or more years of experience in a similar role, working with children less than 6 years of age
✅ Must be at least 18-years-of-age

Duties and Responsibilities Include:
➡ You will be expected to create lesson plans and organize structured activities for children in our setting.

➡ You will need to respond quickly to each child's unique personal needs.
➡You will support staff and contribute to a positive team environment
➡ Flexibility within working practices of the setting, undertaking other duties where needed, such as domestic tasks, preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment, etc.
